La valeur des actions de la société japonaise de médias de télécommunications SoftBank Group a progressé de plus de 17% après avoir annoncé le rachat d'actions et la publication d'un rapport faisant état d'une hausse record des résultats trimestriels.
En conséquence, la capitalisation boursière de la société a augmenté de 14 milliards de dollars pour atteindre 100,10 milliards de dollars, tandis que les actions de SoftBank ont progressé de 17,7% pour atteindre 9,962 yens, le maximum en 5 mois, affichant une augmentation intraday record à 10%.
La direction de SoftBank a annoncé qu'elle procéderait à un rachat d'actions pour un montant de 5,46 milliards de dollars aux dépens des fonds reçus de l'IPO de décembre de la division de télécommunications de la société.
Le bénéfice d'exploitation de SoftBank Group au dernier trimestre de 2018 s'est établi à 3,99 milliards de dollars, soit une augmentation de 38% par rapport à la même période de l'année précédente.
